The busiest weekend of the year: Meet us in Cannes, Sardinia or Newport, RI
This September, we’re going to do the Cannes Yachting Festival a little differently. As a matter of fact, we’re not doing Cannes Yachting Festival at all. This time, instead of tying our yachts to a dock among dozens of other boat builders, we'll be just around the corner, hosting our own, invitation-only sea trial event.
Forget sipping champagne and looking at yachts on the dock. We’re talking spray on the bow, throttles in hand, and our entire fleet at your command. From a trade show for all to sea trials for a few - this is how we’re redefining the luxury yacht shopping experience.
“Boat shows are great if you want to see all the yachts lined up side-by-side. But not so much for getting a real feel for a boat. We’re committed to delivering the best boating experience, from sailing performance to comfort, so we figured we’re going to offer potential buyers the ultimate testing ground; the open water,” says Wajer CEO Dries Wajer. “Our clients make their decisions at the helm, not on the dock. And that’s exactly where we’ll meet them.”
A whole new experience
After years as an official partner and shuttle sponsor in Cannes, we’re now choosing a more personalized approach instead of the masses.
It is one of the busiest weekends of the year for Wajer. This September weekend alone, we’re hosting three exclusive events:
1. Cannes Rendez-Vous Private Sea Trials
September 10 - 14
A curated and relaxed experience with the complete fleet, from the Wajer 38 to the Wajer 77. Compare our models back-to-back, enjoy Dutch-chef hospitality aboard one of the two Wajer 77’s, and sail off directly into open water. Sign up here, select your preferred models, and we will organize a convenient pick-up from either Cannes (±12m) or La Guérite (±3m).
2. SOC Weekend Costa Smeralda
September 12 - 14
An ultra-exclusive private gathering of like-minded enthusiasts where high performance meets high seas. Supercar Owners Circle weekends are always spectacular and unforgettable, carefully curated with only the most prestigious and uncompromising supercars of the past and present. This year’s event in Sardinia will be no different - and to make it even more memorable, we are delighted to host some unique Wajer sailing experiences.
3. Newport Boat Show
September 11 - 14
A Wajer first. Rhode Island may be the smallest state in the US, but it has an outsized yachting culture. At the Newport Yacht Show, we’ll bring the Wajer touch to America’s sailing capital. Against a backdrop of historic harbors and coastal charm, Wajer’s expanding US fleet feels perfectly at home.
