Heeg, Netherlands – Wajer Yachts proudly announces the launch of the new Wajer 55, a yacht that redefines the standard of luxury day boats by placing timeless design at the forefront of its development. Building on the legacy of its 2016 predecessor, this highly anticipated model is designed for owners who enjoy taking the helm themselves and weekend trips with family. The Wajer 55 allows you to cross the Mediterranean and provides comfortable short-term accommodations.

The new Wajer 55 embodies the philosophy that function follows design, setting it apart from competitors who often prioritize straight lines to create volume. With its stretched, low-profile silhouette featuring continuous lines from the bow, via the sleek carbon fiber windshield to the swim platform, the yacht makes a striking impression with its elegant bow flair and tumblehome stern reminiscent of a Porsche 911's curves. Approximately 90% redesigned from its predecessor, the new model aligns with the family style of Wajer's 77 and 44 models.

Sophisticated Boating

The Wajer 55 targets discerning yacht enthusiasts who value aesthetics as much as performance—owners who appreciate the distinction of driving something uniquely beautiful. These individuals seek weekend Mediterranean crossings with family, desiring the prestige of a vessel that commands attention in port while offering genuine practicality on the water. With the precise maneuverability of Volvo-Penta’s joystick-controlled IPS system, a Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) that automatically maintains your heading and position, despite wind and current, and fender- and anchor systems that can be controlled with a touch on the screen; the yacht appeals particularly to hands-on owners who often prefer to captain their own vessels rather than rely on crew.

The new Wajer 55 Launch Film

"We didn't just update the Wajer 55; we took our time to design a completely new boat—approximately 90% of it is new. We went all out to make the boat as beautiful as possible, hiding even the slightest distractions like small hinges, enhancing the interior with fine materials, and adding many refinements and increased detailing”.

Meaningful innovations

Innovation meets elegance through thoughtfully hidden features that create a clean, sleek profile. Automatic fenders, integrated cleats, and a retractable anchor arm, all controlled from the helm, contribute to the yacht's uncluttered aesthetics while enhancing practicality.

Practical innovations include an improved tender garage with an extendable swim platform, optimized for side boarding, and an integrated launch system. The onboard Williams Turbo Jet tender allows owners to access shallow bays and beaches where the mothership cannot venture. The extendable platform can be adjusted up and down, allowing for easy boarding.

Commitment to detail

The attention to detail throughout the Wajer 55 showcases the brand's commitment to refined craftsmanship. Each element has been meticulously considered, from the custom-designed steering wheel to the precisely engineered hidden hinges that maintain the yacht's clean lines.

New teak deck designs and sculptured shapes, including a knuckle line that visually lowers the freeboard while maintaining smooth contours, demonstrate how Wajer elevates every aspect of the boating experience through thoughtful design choices that are both beautiful and practical. Below deck, new tactile materials including veneers, upholstered panels with beautiful stitching, and warmer colors create a cozier, more premium atmosphere.

Sailing Performance

Engineered for exceptional performance, the Wajer 55's relatively light 20-ton weight combines with its deep V-shaped hull, widened spray rails, and stretched proportions to deliver a remarkably smooth, dry ride that remains comfortable even in challenging conditions. The proven triple Volvo-Penta IPS 600 or 650 engine configurations provide precise maneuverability and rock-solid reliability, while extensive sound deadening ensures whisper-quiet operation.

A cozy experience

The cockpit represents the heart of the owner experience, featuring a symmetrical deck layout with two versatile retractable tables, premium upholstery, and high seating positions. The captain's area combines intuitive Garmin MFD controls, custom-designed suspended captain’s seats, and a bespoke steering wheel crafted from leather and metal with a gunmetal finish. A wrap-around EX-CORE® carbon windshield and significant sound deadening ensure a dry, quiet, and comfortable ride, completing a yacht that makes boating both beautiful and practical.

"The best compliment I ever had from a client was that we changed their way of living, that they got a life around their Wajer 55 and opened up a whole new chapter. That's core to the Wajer 55 – my vision was to build something very beautiful, something you can drive yourself and stay over on the weekend with friends or family”.
